The apartment

On the 4th floor of elegant french-style elevator building, the apartment has been recently recycled by its owner, a young creative architect. Though it features superior modern details, the original architecture of the place has been respected and restored and it is reflected in its high ceilings, pine wood flooring, sandstone tiles and the refurbished carpentry work. The living-room and dining-room lead to a small balcony decorated with flower pots.

• The master bedroom features a double bed, a large closet and a desk.
• The second bedroom has a wide single bed and closet.
• The kitchen has crockery for 6 people and the necessary gadgets, gas hob stove, oven, fridge with freezer, toaster, juice squeezer, coffee and tea pots.
• Spacious bathroom with bathtub.
• Towels and bed linen are provided.
• Cable TV (21-inch screen), High Speed WiFi Internet, DVD, home theatre.
• Air-conditioning, heating.

The building:

French-style with elevator elegant 7 story high building from 1920 with magnificent entrance and marble staircase in Perú Street, one of the most beautiful drives in the San Telmo neighbourhood, where the most traditional families in Buenos Aires used to live.

Location:

Of the different areas of Buenos Aires the San Telmo Neighbourhood is one of the oldest and most traditional of the city, first called Altos de San Pedro, and after San Pedro Telmo. It was towards the end of the 19th Century  that this neighbourhood was populated by aristocratic families and many important mansions and big houses were build at the time, but due to the yellow fever of 1870 that affected the city and in a special way to this area, there was a big population exodus and the development stopped. The big mansions from the high class families became squats or "conventillos" where large numbers of people lived, but at least no new buildings were added in substitution of the old ones and that help to preserve the beautiful elegant old mansions.
Actually San Telmo has become a quite bohemian neighbourhood with many antique shops in the area and also during the weekends some streets become pedestrian and they are invaded with street artists, puppeteers, magicians and living statues and outdoor bars and terraces and every Sunday since 1970 at Dorrego Square takes place a semi-permanent exhibition of antiquities with 270 stands called Feria de San Telmo with around 10.000 visitors during the day.
Also you can find many activities related to the Tango and the Candombe in the area and bars and restaurants where to learn and dance the Tango.

Rates

HighSeason: August to December.
Normal Season: January to July.
 

In general there is a 7 nights minimum stay requirement.

Booking fee: 15 US dollars due to management expenses.
Breakage or damage deposit: The owner asks for a deposit as a guarantee for the flat (this absolutely must be paid in cash on arrival). The amount will be returned at the end of the stay if no damage has been done.

For stays shorter than one month: cost of 1 week rent will be requested as deposit

For stays of one month or longer than one month: cost of 1 month rent will be requested as deposit.
 

Guests must return the apartment in the same clean conditions in which it was presented upon arrival. The inclusion of cleaning services in the price of the rent does not revoke the obligation of guests to leave the property in the same conditions upon arrival.

If the property is returned in an inadequate state of order and cleanliness, the owner is authorized to deduct from the deposit the cost of cleaning necessary to return the property to its original condition.

General Check in time: Normal check in time is from 14:00Hs onward.
To ensure the possibility of a check in before the time or stay after hours on departure, it must be made a reservation for one night before or after a night respectively. 

Late arrival/early departure fee:  For check out or check in outside of working hours, from 8:00 to 21:00Hs, an additional fee of 25 US dollars will be charged.

Contract fee:  There is a general fix charge of  35 US dollars as Contract Fee.

Please note:  Reduction of number of guests or of number of nights: These changes must be advised prior to arrival.
Once pre-payment has been made, which confirms a reservation, the reduction of the number of guests or of number of nights, will be subject to a 25.00 euros administration fee for the recalculation of pricing.
But if the number of nights or of guests is reduced between 7 days prior to the arrival and the arrival - recalculation of the price is not possible.

Our main objective is for the client to have a good experience in Barcelona and to enjoy the stay. Clients MUST RESPECT the neighbours, as the apartment is in a residential block. No parties are allowed in the apartment, party outside. If the neighbours complain or the police is called it will result in immediate eviction without refund.

The meeting point for this apartment is in front of the same building.
Check in time must be organized prior to arrival.
On arrival day, if you see that your travel plans are delayed please call  to forewarn and avoid unnecessary waits.
