A long time delayed Municipal project is now ongoing.
For more than 15 years we knew that in the city block where the City Center Penthouse apartments are located the two old ware houses in Neptú Street, converted into private parking places should make way for the construction of a facility for the neighborhood; a Municipal Parking, Gymnasium and Pre-school building, opposite to the actual School Josep Maria Jujol, with entrance from Riera De Sant Miquel, centre for child and primary education. Our apartments City Center penthouse and City Center Penthosuse 1 look directly to the inner side of the square block and in some way or other will be affected during the months that the works will take place.

The announcement of the City of Barcelona to the call of the open procedure aimed for building of the mixed contract for an underground public parking, a sports court and a municipal nursery with administrative concession for the management of the exploitation of underground public parking in the underground of municipal public land located in Neptú Street No. 6-12. Gracia District, had the adjudication Date: December 2, 2010 and the deadline for execution / delivery: 27 months.
The work is taking place two buildings away in the same square block of our apartments and will last through estimations until April 2013

We regret but are not responsible for any and all discomforts, disturbances, bother, problems and or inconveniences that may occur/be suffered during the stay.
Generally working hours tend to be from +/- 08:00H UNTIL +/- 18:00H, even though for the moment on Fridays works end up around14:00Hs. Saturdays and Sundays there is no work.

To mention that the covered play ground of the School Josep Maria Jujol is and old modernist factory rehabilitated for this new use as a covered playground; Josep Maria Jujol was a disciple of Antoni Gaudi, that worked with him for several years and has some modernist buildings, examples of his work, in Barcelona.
The deconstruction work started at the ends of January of 2011 and since then several groups have stayed in the City Center apartments for several days, and for the moment nobody has complained about the works or the noise but it is our obligation to keep updated our possible customers on this issue.

Life goes on, and infants play in the nursery school while the machines work on the other side of the wall, and the scheduled programs in the Jujol School keep developing as normal with, classes through the day and sports some evenings.
Meanwhile the two squares near the City center Penthouse apartments, on oppsite corners of the square block, Plaça Narcis Oller and Placeta de Sant Miquel maintain the normal rhythms of life.
