The Verdi Gracia apartments are located in a newly constructed rational three-story building with elevator, rooftop terrace/solarium and parking places that gives to two semi pedestrian streets (Carrer D’Asturias and Carrer Verdi) and to the charming square Plaça del Diamant, with a children playground, a sculpture from Xavier Medina-Campeny called La Colometa and agreeable bars and terraces to spend some relaxing time after a busy day of sightseeing.

All the apartments 3 in the second floor and 4 on the third floor are completely exterior. The corner ones (75 m2) that give to Plaça del Diamant on one side and to Carrer Verdi on the other have three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with shower and one with bathtub). The central ones that give to Carrer D’Asturies are smaller only with two bedrooms and one bathroom with bathtub. The modern equipped open kitchens that give to the living/dining areas are similar in all the apartments. The entire roof top is conditioned as a Solarium with comfortable chairs, umbrellas, tables and chairs.

In 1850 the Vila de Gracia was an independent town with more than 13.000 inhabitants and constantly growing thanks to its progressive industrialization with many artisans and small manufacturers. However, when the Eixample was developed in the late 19th century, Gracia ceased to be a town and become a neighbourhood in the larger metropolis. The elegant Avenue of the Passeig de Gracia in the project of Ildefons Cerdá for the Exaimple was created to join the old Vila de Gracia to the city of Barcelona.

The Gracia neighbourhood still retains the village atmosphere of bygone years but, at the same time, is one of the most popular neighbourhoods with young people and lively atmosphere. Traditional shops stand side by side with unique colourful bars and restaurants from different places of the world, design and ethnical shops and alternative clothing shops, art galleries and book stores in pedestrian and semi pedestrian streets. And very specially the different and very enchanting large number of small squares spread through the neighbourhood like the well known Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia or Clock square (Plaça del Rellotge), the emblematic Diamant square (Plaça del Diamant) where takes place the well-known novel of Mercè Rodoreda of the same name, the Virreina square, the concurred Sun square (Plaça de Sol) full of beautiful terrace cafes and many more other corners.

Another characteristic of the Vila De Gracia is the mixture between the old traditional houses,  the modern rational buildings and some very interesting examples of Modernist architecture.
