This new edition of the Sonimagfoto & Multimedia trade show has modified the dates and venue of the event.
For a greater synergy with the graphic art sector the Sonimagfoto & Multimedia show will be held for the first time parallel to Graphispag 2011, the leading trade show for the graphics industry in Spain which attracts more than 50,000 trade visitors. The nexus between these two shows is digital graphic technology, which is bringing photographic processes and graphics services closer together. Graphispag 2011 will be showcasing major equipment, machinery and accessories for every transformation, finishing and printing process, as well as the latest digital graphic technology and a wide range of materials, supports and consumables. The leading brands and suppliers in the graphics market will be among the exhibitors, and more than 50,000 trade visitors are expected to attend.
The Sonimagfoto & Multimedia trade show will be presenting new products, services and digital applications for photography, imagery for professionals and consumers, and multimedia technology. With the support of the leading brands, it will also be featuring business opportunities, training options and photography exhibitions.
There will also be a series of seminars and conferences for professionals in the graphics world and associated sectors on graphic technology and new markets, seminars, workshops and studio sets to impart the latest techniques and applications.
The Sonimagfoto & Multimedia show is divided into different sectors such as Capturing, Storing, Editing, Processing and Displaying images; Multimedia AV systems; Accessories and consumables, Studio and professional equipment; Image services and Photo Art.
Graphispag and Sonimagfoto & Multimedia are also organizing joint activities such as the Adobe Digital Classroom, for learning about the latest digital retouching and image processing techniques, given by top-ranking experts
Sonimagfoto & Multimedia has also scheduled over 20 exhibitions with an extended collection of photographic art and new languages in imagery. Sonimagfoto & Multimedia is one of the biggest and most prestigious venues for exhibitions of contemporary photography.
Sonimagfoto & Multimedia also promotes the Scholarship 2011 that covers enrolment on the 2011-2012 Postgraduate Diploma in Photojournalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The winner of last year’s grant was Mikel Aristregi, with his reportage entitled “-40ºC/96º” about homeless alcoholics in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia.
Organized by Fira Barcelona the dates for the events are 22 to 26 March for Graphispag and 23 to 27 for Sonimag, in the new modern Gran Via Fira Venue in L’Hospitalet.
