Magic Internacional 2010

26th edition of the anual Magic Internacional 2010 Fair in Barcelona
Magic International Fair 2010 in Barcelona aims to spread out the hidden knowledge and also to present it to the visiting public. Magic International Fair annually becomes the center of the world of hidden knowledge, becoming an essential point of meeting between amateurs and professionals, to exchange cultural information, technical and parascientists knowledge; to show the existence of spiritual and alternative sector of society and spread it culturally and economically through the dissemination and promotion of businesses and professionals.
Magic International is a monographic show dedicated to the knowledge of the esoteric sciences, parascientific and alternatives in its three aspects: The first is dedicated to wide audience thematic program of lectures, rituals, experiences, ceremonies anthropological discussions and demonstrations of clairvoyance live sessions and training workshops. All these activities are carried out in several halls and classrooms, to which the visiting public can attend and participate. In addition, during the show different specialist will present to the public their latest research in the field of esotericism, the para-and alternative therapies, and also different authors will present their latest publications and specialized thematic publications. The second aspect allows visitors to participate freely in various interactive themed activities present in the Magic International, where they can enter, live and experience how other worlds are. The visitors can take part in  parapsychology laboratory or Alternative Spirituality and express themselves mentally and spiritually. The Magic International offers the visiting public to be transported to other magical realities present in this esoteric show. The third aspect is the display and sales of commercial products of the sector that will be presented in different stands as well as to provide oracles and humanist consulting services to the public by the best specialists.
The Fair will take place in the Palacio Alfonso XIII, (Hall No. 6) of the Fira Barcelona in the Montjuic Venue on December 10 to 12.

Salon Nautico - Barcelona International Boat Show

The 49th edition of the annual Barcelona International Boat Show (Salon Nautico), the biggest in Spain and one of the top events of its kind in Europe, will be presenting all the services, products and innovations in every sector of the nautical industry in the classical venues of the Show.
At the Gran Via Exhibition Centre of the Fira it will be located the five traditional themed Areas:
The Innovation zone will be showcasing the new projects from design centers and R+D+I projects, engineering practices and shipyards featuring some of the most innovative ideas for the nautical industry, a great opportunity to discover the latest trends in new technological developments.  The Fun Beach zone revealing the secrets of the sea, aimed primarily for young people for them to sail in a pool on board canoes, kayaks and dinghies, the best way to learn about the sea. The Traditional Sailing Zone  where ‘Sea wolves’ and fishermen recount their stories, sharing space with artisans building boats in the traditional way, with a backdrop of schooners, dornas and other traditional wooden fishing boats. Homage to our historical heritage where you can join also in workshops, view exhibitions or listen to different performances. The Fishing Zone to promote responsible fishing that features fishing tackle and virtual simulators that reproduce the experience of deep-sea fishing, and presenting also various educational and recreational activities to promote responsible fishing among children. Several sea- and river-fishing championships will also be featured. And  the Espai del Mar Zone, an space for debate and discuss issues concerning the marine environment and every aspect of sailing, presenting also at the show  the main regattas like the The King’s Cup, the S.A.R. Princesa Sofía – Mapfre Trophy, the Christmas Race and the Salt Route.
At the Port Vell of Barcelona there will be the Floating Exhibition, the opportunity to see large vessels and mega-yachts.
The show will be in Barcelona from the 6 to the 14 of November.

Barcelona Meeting Point 2010

The 14th edition of the international and professional real estate exhibition Barcelona Meeting Point will take place in the Montjuic Venue of the Fira Barcelona from October 20 to 24. On annual basis since it’s the first meeting in 1997, the Barcelona Meeting Point offers the possibility to network with the most relevant personalities in the real estate world, find the best investment opportunities, learn about the latest industry trends or find investors for a product.
The Barcelona Meeting Point is divided in three different sections.

Liber 2010 International Book Fair

The 28th Edition of The International Book Fair Liber 2010 will return in September to Barcelona. The Liber International fair is an annual event that alternates the cities of Madrid and Barcelona. This year’s edition in Barcelona will bring Puerto Rico as a guest of honor. The Liber Book Fair will take place from 29 September to 1 October at the Hall 1 of the Gran Via Exhibition Centre of the Fira Barcelona, bringing the latest news in the market and with numerous workshops to discuss challenges and opportunities of the national and international future of the publishing industry.
Promoted by the Federation of Editors (FGEE), Liber is the largest professional meeting of the sector in Spain, and it is aimed at all professionals in the book industry as publishers, booksellers, distributors, librarians, authors, educators, graphic arts, literary agents and service providers.
As in previous calls will be handed the following awards: the Boixareu Ginesta Award for the Best bookseller, the Liber Tribute given to a person or institution in recognition of his work in favor of books, the Prize for the best initiative to promote reading in libraries open to the public and the Prizes for the Promotion of Reading to the Media in sections of Radio, Television and Press.
Liber is sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX), the Generalitat de Catalunya, Instituto de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, the Spanish Center of Reprographic Rights (CEDRO) and the Association of Editors de Catalunya.

The Brandery Summer Edition 2010

12th international Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition

The International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition will be back to Barcelona for the 12th consecutive year  at the Gran Via Venue of the Fira Barcelona. It is an Exhibition which, as a result of sector involvement, continues beating records, growing year after year and consolidating itself as the leading Exhibition in Spain and Southern Europe as an international point of reference where all logistics sectors are represented.
During the 2010 Exhibition, it will take place the 13th Symposium as well as the 8th Mediterranean Logistics and Transport Forum, accompanied by the already traditional sector meetings, all of them filled with outstanding figures in logistics, plus support from the main institutions related to the sector.
The technical conferences to be held will bring answers to the various applications received. Swab International Contemporary Art Fair

Barcelona Contemporary Art Fair at the Fira Barcelona, May 2010

The first editions of the Swab Art Fair took place at Drassanes Reials of Barcelona but in this 4th edition the Fair has moved to the Montjuic Venue of the Fira Barcelona and the event will take place in the Z6 Pavilion (Italian pavilion) at the side of the Montjuic Fountains from May 13 to 16.
Swab Barcelona was founded in 2006 under the initiative of Barcelona private collection Diezy7 and the support of Leo Koenig gallery (Leo Koenig, Inc., New York), Fred Mann (Fred LTD, London) and Marta Moriarty (Empty, 9, Madrid).
It is the aim of the organizers to present emergent contemporary art from around the world art scene being a platform for a young generation of artists from national and international galleries from different places of the world like Barcelona, Torino, Madrid, Berlin, London, La Habana, Paris, Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, Sevilla, Granada, Bordeaux, Aarhus and other cities up to a number of 40 galleries that will be attending to this event.
 

28º Salón del Cómic de Barcelona

The 28th Salón del Cómic de Barcelona will be held from May 6 to May 9 in the Hall 8 of Fira de Barcelona Montjuic, with an outstanding list of invited authors from Europe and North America like Jacques Tardi , creator of one of French comics' most famous heroines, Adèle Blanc-Sec, north americans Gilbert Shelton, creator of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, Fat Freddy's Cat, Wonder Wart-Hog, Not Quite Dead and Jeff Smith, creator of the self-published comic book series Bone,  Italian Tanino Liberatore, very well appreciated as an artist and illustrator for "Transfert" "Métal Hurlant" or "A Suivre" and as a screenwriter for "L'Echo des Savanes" and "Chic" and Lewis Trondheim (Laurent Chabosy), French cartoonist and one of the founders of the independent publisher L'Association among others, and also to mention Ethan Van Sciver, American comic book artist, best known for illustrating a number of titles including Green Lantern, Superman/Batman, New X-Men, and currently, The Flash: Rebirth.
As usual in recent editions there will be special honour guests to comic book artists from Holland and Euskadi.
The poster of this edition is signed by Ana Miralles, winner of the Hall Grand Prix 2009.

The Brandery 2010 Barcelona

In its second edition The Brandery 2010, Barcelona trade show of urban and contemporary fashion  will take place in the Fira Barcelona Montjuic Venue from January 27 to 29 2010. The Brandery is the great fashion fair in Barcelona that provides a new concept in contemporary urban fashion salons where the brand, the creativity, and the innovation get together, away from conventions. The Brandery 2010 is the new international meeting point in Barcelona for urban and contemporary fashion and generator of trends, and an interesting business platform for the fashion sector. The 48th edition of the Barcelona International Boat Show will be held from the 7 to the 15 November 2009 bringing together the widest offer and the latest nautical and leisure products. For the first time ever the Show will take up the five halls in the Gran Via Exhibition Centre and the On-water Show in the Port Vell will exceed the 250 boats.
A highlight of this year’s show will be the first BCN Dive, dedicated to the underwater world, on the first few days of the International Boat Show of Barcelona. BCN Dive will be held in pavilion 5 of the Gran Vía exhibition centre and expects the participation of around a hundred companies.
Fira de Barcelona's Administrative Board has appointed Luis Conde, founder and member of the head hunter firm Seeliger y Conde, as president of the Organizing Committee for the Barcelona International Boat Show after the death last year of Enric Puig who had been president of the show for  the 11 past years.

Sonimagfoto & Multimedia, the most important Show in Spain in this field and the second in Europe, will have again the presence of the top brands of photography, consumer electronics, computers and graphic arts. This year, the multimedia technology will have also a special role, offering the last news to reflect the reality of the sector.
Photography, video, music and digital technology will be the great protagonists of the exhibitions that will be able to be seen in the Sonimagfoto & Multimedia, from the 7th to 11th of October in the Hall 1 of the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre of Fair of Barcelona. Recognized photographers engaged multimedia and young artists will present their more distinguished works in the hall.
The multimedia technology, in which photography, video and music are mixed to create a new language of the image, will have a reserved space in this edition of Sonimagfoto & Multimedia, baptized as Argos, presenting works, among others, as the unpublished "Forced Identity" from photographer Pep Bonet, a work on the world of homosexuals and transsexuals in Honduras that have led to the second World Press Photo Award,  "The Forest Man" from Daniel Loewe, a striking documental work about an old hermit who lives in the mountain of Collserola.
Apart from the Argos Space, renown photographers will present their works with a special mention to photographer Roger Grasas and his unpublished work "Insalah, the Saud's dream", an exceptional document as the photographer was able to witness the daily life of the Saudi royal family, known for its secrecy, in the everyday of their princes, showing the richness of scenery and the beauty of cultural heritage as well as its high level of technology and its ultra modernization.

CONSTRUMAT 30th anniversary

The Biennial International Construction Exhibition of Barcelona, Construmat, is celebrating the 16th Edition and its 30th anniversary. For the first time the Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via Exhibition Centre will house all the exhibits of this 30 year-old show which has become the number one show of its kind in Spain and one of the three most important in Europe. From 20th to 25th of April 2009.
Construmat will again be the reference point for the construction sector in a year marked by economic crisis. The International Construction Show, Construmat will again become a major showcase for the construction sector, despite the economic crisis, which affects this sector especially.
Visitors will have access to every single sector at Construmat without having to move between venues, thus optimizing their time. The unification of the event in a single venue will lead to even better synergies between different professional profiles. 
Together with the fair it will take place also other activities like:
The Showcase of Casa Barcelona that is set to surprise again presenting innovative ideas for contemporary homes from renowned architects for sustainable social housing in a two-storey, 300 m2 module, with imaginative and realistic solutions to the housing problem.

MAGIC International Trade Fair

The MAGIC International Trade Fair is currently the largest event of its kind to be held in Europe, with the aim to raise awareness about the existence related to the spiritual alternative and occult science together with alternative medicine to today's society and with the purpose to stimulate culturally and economically through the disclosure and promotion of businesses and professionals.

A new edition of the Summer Bread&Butter trade show is coming to Barcelona in July 2nd, 3rd and 4th.. The different areas of the show will take place as in the past editions at the venue of 'Fira de Barcelona' in the Montjuic Mountain, the fair grounds where the 1929 International Exhibition took place and in which different very well known Architects developed their work like the famous German Pavilion created by Mies van der Rohe rebuild again in the 1980’s.
A New Order will appear with the defined areas of Denim Base, Fashion Now, Sport & Street, Urban Superior, Sportswear and the clear allocation of the brands to respective segments will provide an ideal guide for trade visitors.

10th Edition of SIL 2008

International Food and Beverage Exhibition. Every two years Alimentaria, the International Food and Beverage Exhibition, is back in Barcelona showing the world’s food and beverage. The event will take place in March 2008 from the 10th to 14th at Fira Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain), with 85% of the Spanish food and beverage industry expected to be there. For this new edition, the show’s organisers have undertaken to reorganise the exhibition space. For the first time since the show has been held in two venues, due to their increasing growth, the Intercarn and Restaurama shows will be located in Montjuic, while the rest of the sectors with be grouped together in the modern Gran Vía venue. This new show of the food and beverage industry, the seventeenth edition of Spain’s most important trade show and one of the world’s leading events of its kind, will bring over estimations, 155,000 visitors, close to 5,000 exhibitors and 167 million euros in revenue for the city of Barcelona.
Another innovation for Alimentaria 2008 is that for the first time in its history, two of the trade show’s areas – Innoval and a new tasting area dedicated to tapas – will be open to the general public.

Barcelona is preparing for the winter edition of the Bread&Butter trade show from January 16th till January 18th 2008. The different areas of the show will take place in the 'Fira de Barcelona', close to Plaza España, the fair grounds where the 1929 International Exhibition took place and in which different very well known Architects developed their work like the famous German Pavilion created by Mies van der Rohe, demolished the year after the exhibition and rebuild again in the 1980’s.
The aim of BREAD & BUTTER DESIGN is to organize, coordinate and support a series of temporary artistic and creative events by promoting known and unknown talents, both nationally and internationally.
The Design project wishes to operate at the crossroads of several disciplines that all share a high artistic –and possibly intellectual- value. These will include fashion, music, art and design, as well as visual and performing arts.

Symposium - Real Estate Exhibition.

Barcelona Meeting Point's 11th Edition will take place on November 6th, 7th and 8th.
The Professional Exhibition will be located at Hall number 8 of Fira de Barcelona (Plaza de España). More than 80 Exhibiting Companies form Europe, America and the Middle East will attend to this event.
The International Symposium of Barcelona Meeting Point will count with the collaboration of the European Property Federation, the Global Real Estate Institute, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, the Urban Land Institute, and the business schools ESADE and IESE.

Between October 3rd and 7th, almost 400 brands will be presenting all their products and applications relating to digital imagery on 180 stands at Sonimagfoto the leading exhibition of its kind in Spain and the second largest in Europe. All the innovations in consumer, professional imagery and also digital printing will be on show at Sonimagfoto and Sonimagmobile.
The most important awards for professional photography in Spain (Lux Awards 2007) will be presented on October 4th organized by the Spanish Professional Photographers’ Association (AFP).
The "Visual Art Gallery" exhibition area at Hall 8 of the Fira Montjuïc will be featuring photography exhibitions like "Picasso & Lump", by Douglas Duncan; "Uzbekistan: Silence tower", by Aitor Lara; "The Transition 1976-1981" by the argentine photojournalist Carlos Bosch; A Group exhibition: "Look at the World" from Reuters or the Project "Jam of sweet potato", commissioned by Carles Poy.

The Superior Area has been enlarged with new entrants such as Cesare Paciotti, Fabio di Nicola, Filippa K., Mauro Grifoni, Belfe, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Citizen of Humanity, The Great China Wall, Kors by Michael Kors as well as Justin Timberlake’s label William Rast have helped raise the quality level even further.

The International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition (SIL) has confirmed itself as a meeting point for all the logistics activity with wide range of special events sponsored by the exhibition.
Organized by “Consorci de la Zona Franca” the SIL has become the greatest Logistics and Transport event in Spain and the most important one in Southern Europe and a reference point for the logistics and transportation sector.
This 9th Edition of the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition will be held from the 5th to the 8th of June 2007, in the Exhibition Centre Gran Vía M-2, Hall 3, of the Fira Barcelona in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The International Automobile Fair of Barcelona is one of the five biggest shows of its kind worldwide and the most important in Spain, both in terms of the number of visitors and the participating brands. The fair provides an in-depth look at the most important manufacturers, the most spectacular vehicles and the latest industry trends.
The fair, which will take place from June 9-17, 2007 at the Montjuïc Fairgrounds, is one of the most emblematic professional events held in the Catalan capital. It was first celebrated in 1919 and quickly became one of the most highly anticipated shows for automobile fans. It is the only Spanish event recognised by the l'Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles (O.I.C.A.), headquartered in Paris. The show is also a key reference point for the most important European automotive congress, the Automotive News Europe Congress. This year's edition will feature the latest automotive novelties as well as the sector's most revolutionary models. In addition to the car show, the fair will provide participants with numerous activities, open to both professionals and the general public.

LOOP VIDEOART in Barcelona

LOOP is an annual meeting point for video art professionals that has a Festival + Fair + Panels format. `
LOOP FESTIVAL is an exhibition of the recent work of over 500 artists at a wide range of venues in the centre of Barcelona.
LOOP FAIR is the first fair of video art at which 45 galleries and distributors will exhibit their latest work.
LOOP PANELS bring together distinguished artists, collectors, museums, festival coordinators, and directors so that they may discuss different aspects of conservation, collecting, distribution and new trends in video art. A discipline that is still young and not very well-established required its present status and possible steps for the future to be defined. Hence, the foundation of LOOP in 2003.LOOP is intended to provide a space with an international impact at which to bring together the sector’s different agents. It is a reference point at which to enter into debate, come into contact with new creations, and develop new strategies for the future based on the aspects involved in the discipline.
LOOP has been established to become a world benchmark and an active platform of dissemination, creation and management for all video art lovers. LOOP is held in the city of Barcelona in the spring and features a twelve-day Festival and three days of Fair and Panels.  From May 23rd till June 3rd  

Swab International Art Fair

A long list of more than 40 galleries will attend to this new contemporary art fair in Barcelona from different countries of Europe, United Sates, Canada, Brazil, China and Japan. The selection committee for this first year of Swab has well known names as Leo Konig (from Leo Koenig Inc, New York), Marta Moriarty (from Vacío 9, Madrid) and Fred London (from Fred London, UK). These galleries will bring well-known contemporary artists and also the new names that emerge and have never presented their works in Spain.
The place chosen for this exhibition is the old medieval building of the Reales Atarazanas (Build in between the XII and XIV centuries, the royal shipyards were designed as a dockyard for galleys; area in which ships were to be constructed, repaired and maintained, as well as to serve the war fleet of the Crown of Aragon).  From May 11 till May 13 in Av. De les Drassanes s/n.

Interntional Building Exhibition, Construmat 2007 will be held from the 14th to the 19th of May in the Fira de Barcelona, Montjuïc and Gran Vía exhibition centres.
Construmat 2007  is the International Building Trade Exhibition held in Barcelona from the 14th to the 19th of May in the Fira de Barcelona, Montjuïc and Gran Vía exhibition centres, on Building Supplies, Ceramics for Building Purposes, Building Materials, Building Restoration and Prefabricated Concrete Units.
CONSTRUMAT will host the first ever CONCEPTO BAÑO, International Bathroom Show, which was created as a trade fair platform for sanitary ware, taps, fittings and bathroom furniture. Along the same lines, CONSTRUMAT will also incorporate PINTUDECORA, International Paint Show, which will showcase products from the paint and related services sector. 

Summer Bread&Butter Barcelona and Berlin

Barcelona is preparing for it’s third edition of the Bread&Butter  trade show from July 5th till July 7th.. The different areas of the show take place in the 'Fira de Barcelona', the fair grounds where the 1929 International Exhibition took place and in which different very well known Architects developed their work like the famous German Pavilion created by Mies van der Rohe, demolished the year after the exhibition and rebuild again in the 1980’s.
The opening of the  BBBarcelona Summer 06 edition, since it takes place at the same time as the World Cup Competition, will start with a ‘World Cup fever’ party that will take place at The former Olympic swimming stadium/ Piscina Montjuïc Municipal, where all will join together to cheer on the teams competing in the World Cup 2006 semi-finals, with a barbecue, cool drinks, and breath-taking views of the Catalan capital.
Football, street culture, DJ tunes, and the different shows will all be present in this new edition of BBBarcelona summer edition.
And when BBBBarcelona close its doors Berlin will be prepared to continue the show from July 14th to July 16th.
