Umbracle Parc de la Ciutadella - Gothic Neighbourhood The Parc de la Ciutadella was build over the old Citadel or Fortress that the Spanish King Felipe V had built in 1714 to intimidate Catalans against repeating early 18th century rebellion against the Spanish central government.
