Is a five-story construction old building from the beginnings of 1900 without elevator, located in a pedestrian area around the Modernist and recently refurbished Mercat de la Concepcio, oldest fresh food market of the Eixample district.
In the middle of the Eixample Neighbourhood (development of the city planned by the engineer Ildefons Cerdà and begun in the second half of the 19th century due to the necessity to extend the city when the medieval old walls were torn down) there is an area called the Quadrat d’or or Golden Square that became at the time the center of the new bourgeois, exceptional area of Modernist Architecture with most of the buildings designed and built at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Private elegant bourgeois residences designed by a number of different important architects of the time providing a varied cross-section of Modernist style designs with interesting details on ceramic art, stained glass windows, wrought-iron work, relief’s, mosaics, wood work and statues. Some of the most important buildings located in this Area are Casa Batlló (Antoni Gaudí), Casa Lleó-Morera (Lluís Domènech i Montaner), Casa Milà (Antoni Gaudí) and Casa Ametller (Josep Puig i Cadafalch) all in the Paseo de Gracia Boulevard, and close in Aragon street the Building for Publisher Simon i Montaner (Domenech i Montaner) rehabilitated in 1987 to host the headquarters of the Fundacio Antoni Tapies. Some of these important modernist buildings have organized visiting hours. Casa Mila (La Pedrera) is currently the headquarters of the Caixa Catalunya Foundation, which manages various activities, exhibitions and concerts in the building parallel to the visits of different parts of the inside and the very special roof. Actually all the area is full of art galleries, elegant shops, terraces, bars and restaurants.
The nearest metro station is Girona (line 4 or yellow), 3 minutes form the apartment and Verdaguer (line 5 or blue) 6 minutes walk. Also a near station is Passeig de Gràcia (line 3 or green) 8 minutes walk.
Connection with the airport by train Line 10 of RENFE, that has a station in Passeig de Gràcia, and by bus you can use AEROBUS stop in Passeig de Gràcia –Diputació st.
The urban buses near to the apartment are the numbers 43, 44, 47 and the night bus line N7.

- an obligatory prepayment of 100% - (see Terms and Conditions).

Booking fee: 10.00 Euros due to management expenses.
Cleaning service fee: There is an obligatory one-time fee of 60.00 Euros for apartment-cleaning service at the end of your stay, not included in the above rates tables.
Breakage or damage deposit: The owner asks for a deposit of 200.00 Euros as a guarantee for the flat (this absolutely must be paid in cash on arrival). The amount will be returned at the end of the stay if no damage has been done.
Lost key surcharge: For every set of keys lost there is a 50.00 Euros surcharge.
Late arrival -Early departures Surcharge: All arrivals before 09:00 and after 21:00 will have an extra charge of 30.00 Euros and all arrivals after 24:00Hs will have an extra charge of 50.00 Euros. (these surcharges must be paid to the receptionist in cash).
Check out time: Check out is at 11:00Hs.
Check in time: Check in time is from 15:00Hs on. If possible we will try to accommodate to your schedule as long as we don´t have another guest leaving the same day.
Tourism Tax: From November 1st 2012 there is a new obligatory Catalonian government tourism tax of 0.72 € per person per night, not included in the total to be paid for the rental, that is applicable and must be paid in cash on arrival or if you prefer it can be taken from the refundable damages deposit on departure. This tax is paid for a minimum of one night and a maximum of seven nights. Children under the age of 17 are exempt.
Please note: Reduction of number of guests or of number of nights: These changes must be advised prior to arrival.
Once pre-payment has been made, which confirms a reservation, the reduction of the number of guests or of number of nights, will be subject to a 25.00 euros administration fee for the recalculation of pricing.
But if the number of nights or of guests is reduced between 7 days prior to the arrival and the arrival - recalculation of the price is not possible.
*WI FI Connection: The owner of the apartment offers WI-FI Internet connection in the apartment free of charge. Any incidence or problem concerning the Internet service due to the communications company that provides it (such as connection failures, signals, router, maintenance, etc.) WILL NOT REDUCE THE TOTAL PRICE FOR THE APARTMENT.
Our main objective is for the client to have a good experience in Barcelona and to enjoy the stay. Clients MUST RESPECT the neighbours, as the apartment is in a residential block. No parties are allowed in the apartment, party outside. If the neighbours complain or the police is called it will result in immediate eviction without refund.
Ana's communication before the trip was great, and she was very accommodating, arranging to meet us at the flat even though we arrived fairly late in the evening. The flat itself is very nice, and has everything you will need for your stay. It is just a block away from a metro station, and has a wonderful market right outside the front door to get fresh food every day. It is up 3 flights of narrow stairs - as are most apartments in Barcelona - so bear this in mind if you have difficulty with stairs. But otherwise don't let that put you off, this is a lovely, great value for money apartment in a great city. Nathan (Edimburg)
We had a great time in this apartment. We were there with our two children and they loved the high bed. The apartment has everything you need and all the windows make it very bright. The location is excellent, just around the corner is a fresh market with a supermarket underneath. And the apartment is located on walking distance from places like the Passeig de Gracia, Plaza Catalunya and the Sagrada Familia. But also the metro is very nearby. Ana's apartment was very well located, with a market just below. The apartment was very clean with sheets, towels all provided. Kitchen was also well equipped. I found everything that I need at the apartment and everything was working well as internet and AC. I was alone and location make me fell very safe.
