Nice, comfortable two bedrooms apartment with an agreeable closed quiet bright back gallery, on the first floor of a building without elevator, in the charming Sant Gervasi-Galvany neighborhood. Close to the charming Turo Park and the elegant shopping area in the neighborhood. With the double sofa bed in the living area this Barcelona apartment can accommodate up to six people. It can also be rented together with another apartment in the same building, Flat Barcelona Madrazo A, for big groups up to 14 people.

The building:

Is a classic narrow construction from the 1930, six stories high with no elevator, stone decoration on the façade, balconies with iron railings and wrought lintels.

Location:

The Sarrià-Sant Gervasi District is one of the biggest of the 10 districts of Barcelona, located on the north-west part of the city. It is formed by the old villages of Sarrià (added to Barcelona in 1927), Vallvidrera (added to Sarrià in 1890), Santa Creu d'Olorda (added to Sarrià in 1916) and Sant Gervasi ("Saint Gervasius") de Cassoles (added to Barcelona in 1897). The first written document found about old Sarrià village dates from the year 987, and the origins are from a Roman colony.
The Sant Gervasi-Galvany Neighborhood, in the Sarria-Sant Gervasi District, refers to one of the parts of the former municipality of Sant Gervasi de Cassoles before it was annexed to Barcelona; and to the Camp d'en Galvany, urbanization that was promoted in 1866 by its owner, Joseph Galvany Castelló. The name Galvany became popular in the wake that the fresh food market in the area took the name of Galvany and became very well known for the quality products that were offered, located in the heart of the neighborhood in between streets Santaló, Calaf, Amigó and Madrazo; the project of the market, on land leased by the Earl of Galvany, was started in 1868, but the opening of the actual building, listed as an artistic monument, was delayed until the final 1927.

Of the Sarria-Sant Gervasi neighborhoods it is the closest to the Eixample District having the Diagonal Avenue as the limit and to the Gracia District with the limit in the Via Augusta Street. It is mainly a residential area with a mainly bourgeois upper class social extraction, fancy shopping areas and it is also well known for the great nightlife with large quantities of nice bars, several restaurants of different types, from simple classic ones to elegant design and expensive ones, and also for the nightclubs especially in Santalo street and the adjacent area.
With a nearby Subway stop of the FGC in Via Augusta/Santalo that takes you to Ciutat Vella district/Plaça Catalunya stop in 6 minutes,  with connections to Metro lines L3 and L5 in Provença stop; with also several normal bus lines close by and a Tourist Bus stop at walking distance in Francesc Macia Square/Diagonal Avenue.

Rates

Low Season: December12th 2011 to February 25th 2012, November 1st to December 1st and December 10th to December 31st.

Normal Season: September 1st to October 31st 2011, March 5th to March 24th, May 1st to June 15th and June 19th to June 30th.

High Season: December 3rd to December 11th 2011, February 26th to March 4th, April 1st to April 30th, June 16th to 18th, July 1st to August 31st and December 2nd to December 9th.

In general there is a 3 nights minimum stay requirement.

Special prices for weekly or monthly rentals (ask for quotation).

During special events, fairs, congresses and holidays the apartments may have:

• a surcharge,
• a different minimum stay,
• an obligatory prepayment of 100% - (see Terms and Conditions).

Booking fee: 10.00 Euros due to management expenses.
Cleaning service fee: There is an obligatory one-time fee of 50.00 Euros for apartment-cleaning service at the end of your stay, not included in the above rates tables.
Breakage or damage deposit: The owner asks for a deposit of 300.00 Euros as a guarantee for the flat (this absolutely must be paid in cash on arrival). The amount will be returned at the end of the stay if no damage has been done.

Lost key surcharge: For every set of keys lost there is a 80.00 Euros surcharge.
Late Arrivals-Early Departures Surcharge: Arrivals between 20:00Hs and 24:00Hs have to pay a surcharge of 30.00 Euros. Arrivals after 24Hs have a surcharge of 50.00 Euros (these surcharges must be paid to the receptionist in cash).

Sundays and Holidays Check in or Check-out: For these days there is an additional surcharge of 30.00 Euros either for check-in or check-out (these surcharge must be paid to the receptionist in cash). 

General Check in time: Normal check-in time in this apartment is from 16:00 to 20:00Hs. If the apartment is available for check-in (No previous check-out on the same day) check in can be organized earlier.

Check out time: Check out time is at 12:00Hs.
 

Please note:  Reduction of number of guests or of number of nights: These changes must be advised prior to arrival.
Once pre-payment has been made, which confirms a reservation, the reduction of the number of guests or of number of nights, will be subject to a 25.00 euros administration fee for the recalculation of pricing.
But if the number of nights or of guests is reduced between 7 days prior to the arrival and the arrival - recalculation of the price is not possible.

Our main objective is for the client to have a good experience in Barcelona and to enjoy the stay. Clients MUST RESPECT the neighbours, as the apartment is in a residential block. No parties are allowed in the apartment, party outside. If the neighbours complain or the police is called it will result in immediate eviction without refund.

*WI FI Connection: The owner of the apartment offers WIFI Internet connection in the apartment free of charge. Any incidence or problem concerning the Internet service due to the communications company that provides it (such as connection failures, signals, router, maintenance, etc.) WILL NOT REDUCE THE TOTAL PRICE FOR THE APARTMENT.
Internet information for guests travelling from USA and Israel: Wireless cards from USA and Israel may have incompatibilities in Spain.

Please remember that once in Barcelona you must call to organize the check-in (allow for approximately 30 minutes minimum).
