One of three apartments in the same building and same floor (all with a minimum rental of one year), in a newly renovated elevator building from 1840's that forms part of a group of four blocks declared protected National Monument called "Pòrtics d'en Xifré". The building is only 10 minutes walking distance from the well known Las Ramblas, the Cathedral in the Gothic Neighbourhood and the Barceloneta beaches.

Description of the layout:
- A nice bright spacious living area with a comfortable leather sofa, two leather arm chairs and the most impressive panoramic views of Barcelona.
- A comfortable dining area with table and chairs for 4 people.
- One large bedroom with views, lots of closet space and two single beds.
- One complete bathroom with bathtub with shower fixtures and one half bathroom with toilet.
- Fully equipped kitchen with small refrigerator with freezer, electric stove, oven, microwave oven, toaster, juice squeezer, coffee and tea pots, electric kettle and all necessary equipment for cooking.
- Double glazing and special laminated silence glass in windows.
- Flat screen TV, radio CD, iron and ironing board, hair dryer.
- Washing Machine and Tumble dryer.
- Central heating and air conditioning.
- Bath towels and bed linen are provided.
- Beach towels are not provided.
- Cot for babies upon request. Baby linens are not provided.
- Only one child under two years is free of charge.
- Apartment is self-catering self-service. Soaps, toilet paper and other personal hygiene items are not provided.
- Smoking is only permitted outside on the balconies.

The building:
Is a brand new completely renovated six-story construction from the 1840´s with an elevator, located in the first line of construction in front of Barcelona’s classic pleasure craft docks “Port Vell”. The building forms part of a group of four blocks build at the same time, that have been declared protected National Monument called "Pòrtics d'en Xifré".
Location:
In the actual cross road between the Gothic, Borne and Barceloneta neighbourhoods. The perfect place to start and finish your day in Barcelona. On one hand close to all the major attractions related to the harbour, World Trade Center, Maremagnum, five minutes walking distance from Las Ramblas and all that it implies in terms of tourism, terraces, people watching, strolling etc. Situated between the old fisherman’s village of the Barceloneta complete with small town squares, local old style markets and little cafes and restaurants on one side and the extremely interesting and fashionable neighbourhoods of the Gothic and the Borne with all the benefits and advantages of a small charming Old World town on the other side, you are surrounded by things to do and see day and night.
Being in the heart of Old town Barcelona you are walking distance to nearly everything of interest in town and also very well connected with lots of buses, metro and subway lines including the tourist bus which has a stop right in front of the building.

Rates
Long term Barcelona accommodation.
Minimum stay of 1 year.
Monthly rate 1000,00 Euros plus expenses.
Booking fee: 10.00 euros due to management expenses.
Cleaning service fee: There is an obligatory one-time fee of 55.00 euros for apartment-cleaning service at the end of your stay, not included in the above rates tables.
Breakage or damage deposit: The owner asks for a deposit of two months as a guarantee for the flat.
Lost key surcharge: For every set of keys lost there is a 80.00 euros surcharge.
Late arrival fee: Arrivals between 21:00Hs and 24:00Hs have a surcharge of 30.00 euros; Arrivals after 24:00Hs have a surcharge of 50.00 euros. These surcharges must be paid cash on arrival.
IMPORTANT: Please read and take notice of House Rules and Terms and Conditions.
Our main objective is for the client to have a good experience in Barcelona and to enjoy the stay. Clients MUST RESPECT the neighbours, as the apartment is in a residential block. No parties are allowed in the apartment, party outside. If the neighbours complain or the police is called it will result in immediate eviction without refund.
The Meeting Point
The meeting point for this apartment is in Paseo de Colon #1 in front of the bank called La Caixa. (this is close to the corner of Via Layetana/Plaza Antonio Lopez and the main post office “Correos”).
Please remember that once in Barcelona you must call to organize the check-in (allow for approximately 30 minutes minimum).

Great location, great views, elevator in the building. The apartment was well located by the harbor and we were able to walk to most places of interest. There was a nice coffee shop across the street which was convenient for the first morning. The 2 deck Barcelona Turistic bus (hop off and on) was a nice introduction to the city and the Articket for 7 museums worked well for us, getting you at the front of the ticket line! The Ramblas was a wonderful street, especially early on a Sunday morning, before it got too crowded, but was always a "happening" place... And of course, we loved the Gaudi buildings. Kathleen
Here is the first apartment people we rented from (this is the one I couldn't find for ages Bluebell, if you remember!) www.rentals-barcelona.com Just had a look at their website, and they're still operating. The man who runs it (part owns it) is American and really friendly. We stayed overlooking the harbour (Harbour Palace 2 I believe) and it would be children friendly.
