The apartment

Bright spacious and comfortable three bedroom interior apartment on a third floor of a building without elevator. In a nice neighborhood with boulevards and gardens, close to L'illa Diagonal Shopping Mall, Sants Station, the Fira Barcelona Montjuic Venue and the Technical School of Industrial Engineering, with grocery stores and supermarkets in the area for a pleasant stay. This Barcelona apartment is ideal for a big group or a family as it can accommodate up to eight people.

Description of the layout

• Open fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator and freezer, electric stove, oven, microwave oven, toaster, juice squeezer, coffee and tea pots, electric kettle and all necessary equipment for cooking with a table and four stools and the living area with a double sofa bed.
• One large bedroom with closet space and one double bed.
• Second bedroom with closet space one double bed and one single bed.
• Third bedroom with closet space, one single bed and a work table.
• Bathroom with shower.
• Washing Machine.
• Color satellite TV, DVD and Music Player, iron and ironing board, hair dryer.
• Heating and air conditioning in some areas.
• Wi-Fi Internet Connection.* 
• Towels and bed linen are provided.
• Cot for babies upon request. Baby linens are not provided.

The building:

Is a classic construction from the 60's, four stories high with no elevator and  the usual red brick façade.

 

 

Location:

In a modern area that is the limit of the Eixample Neighborhood with Sants and Les Corts Neighborhoods. All the area at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century was an industrial zone with several big Textile Industries. All these big factories (many occupied four city blocks of Ildefons Cerdá project of L'Eixample) have disappeared with the exception of the big chimney  and the clock building where the looms were located of the Can Batllo Industry, actually part of the Technical School of Industrial Engineering or some small buildings in the Parc de la Espanya Industrial (another textile factory); of the other industries in the neighborhood there is nothing left like what happened with the Slaughterhouse (four square blocks area of the Eixample close to Plaça Espanya) actually Parc Joan Miro, where you can find the Miro’s Sculpture Dona I Ocell.

The area is actually a residential zone with modern buildings and nice gardens well connected to other areas with the Metros Lines 3 and 5, also close to the train Station Estacio de Sants and to the Fira Barcelona Montjuic Venue.

Low Season: November 1st to December 1st and December 2nd to February 24th.

Normal Season: March 1st to March 23rd, May 1st to May 9th, May 13th to May 19th, May 27th to June 30th and September 1st to October 31st.

High Season: December 2nd to December 9th, February 25th to February 28th, March 24th to April 30th, May 10th to May 12th, May 20th to May 26th and July 1st to August 31st.

 

In general there is a 3 nights minimum stay requirement.

 

Special prices for weekly or monthly rentals (ask for quotation).

 

During special events, fairs, congresses and holidays the apartments may have:

• a surcharge,
• a different minimum stay,
• an obligatory prepayment of 100% - (see Terms and Conditions).

Booking fee: 10.00 Euros due to management expenses.
Cleaning service fee: There is an obligatory one-time fee of 50.00 Euros for apartment-cleaning service at the end of your stay, not included in the above rates tables.
Breakage or damage deposit: The owner asks for a deposit of 300.00 Euros as a guarantee for the flat (this absolutely must be paid in cash on arrival). The amount will be returned at the end of the stay if no damage has been done.

Lost key surcharge:  For every set of keys lost there is a 80.00 Euros surcharge.
Late Arrivals-Early Departures Surcharge: Arrivals between 20:00Hs and 24:00Hs have a surcharge of 30.00 Euros. Arrivals after 24Hs have a surcharge of 50.00 Euros; Early check-outs between 6:00Hs and 8:00Hs have a surcharge of 30.00 Euros (these surcharges must be paid to the receptionist in cash).

Sundays and Holidays Check-in or Check-out: For these days there is an aditional surcharge of 30.00 Euros either for check-in or check-out (these surcharge must be paid to the receptionist in cash).

 

Tourism Tax: From November 1st 2012 there is a new obligatory Catalonian government tourism tax of 0.72 € per person per night, not included in the total to be paid for the rental, that is applicable and must be paid in cash on arrival or if you prefer it can be taken from the refundable damages deposit on departure. This tax is paid for a minimum of one night and a maximum of seven nights. Children under the age of 17 are exempt.

 

General Check-in time: Normal check-in time in this apartment is from 16:00 to 20:00Hs. If the apartment is available for check-in (No previous check-out on the same day) check in can be organized earlier.

Check-out time: Check-out time is at 12:00Hs, unless there is another guest arriving the same day in which case the maximum check-out time is 11:00h.

Please note:  Reduction of number of guests or of number of nights: These changes must be advised prior to arrival.
Once pre-payment has been made, which confirms a reservation, the reduction of the number of guests or of number of nights, will be subject to a 25.00 euros administration fee for the recalculation of pricing.
But if the number of nights or of guests is reduced between 7 days prior to the arrival and the arrival - recalculation of the price is not possible.
 

*WI FI Connection:  The owner of the apartment offers WIFI Internet connection in the apartment free of charge. Any incidence or problem concerning the Internet service due to the communications company that provides it (such as connection failures, signals, router, maintenance, etc.) WILL NOT REDUCE THE TOTAL PRICE FOR THE APARTMENT.

Our main objective is for the client to have a good experience in Barcelona and to enjoy the stay. Clients MUST RESPECT the neighbours, as the apartment is in a residential block. No parties are allowed in the apartment, party outside. If the neighbours complain or the police is called it will result in immediate eviction without refund.

 

Travel Insurance: We highly recommend all our customers to take out travel insurance that includes cancellation with major forces as a cause, robbery, etc. consult your local travel society or insurance broker for more information. 

 

 

The Meeting Point

 

The meeting point for this apartment is in front of the same building.
Please remember that once in Barcelona you must call to organize the check-in (allow for approximately 30 minutes minimum).
